Use case 4 Lakes with high coloured dissolved organic matter concentrations

In Use case 4 shallow and small, but also deep and large lakes can be found. Some are oligotropic, other eutrophic. The common parameter is the high absorption, which is caused by Coloured Dissolved Organic Matter (CDOM), often originating from the river(s) feeding the lakes. These lakes tend to be used as source for drinking water, irrigation (depending on their location) and for recreation. The general colour to describe these lakes is yellow/brown.
